Christie Hinrichs was named president and CEO of Tabitha in 2010. Her dedication to Elder Care and involvement with Tabitha dates back to 1993 and includes leadership roles within Tabitha Hospice and the organization’s in-home support program. Following her service as a branch manager for Coram Healthcare and executive experience as chief operating officer at the Nebraska Heart Hospital, Hinrichs returned to Tabitha in 2006 as vice president of clinical services. Even during her time away from Tabitha in an employment capacity, she served on the organization’s corporate board of directors from November 2004 through May 2006.
Hinrichs in 2006 introduced and began development of LIVE2Succeed—a revolutionary culture change within Tabitha that challenged employees to Love their jobs, Invite optimism, Vision success and Embrace the mission. During the two years following, she led teams in evaluating and rebuilding how Tabitha performs its mission-centered work, resulting in an organization-wide standard where today, every clinical, operational and strategic decision is made through the lens of LIVE’s ideals. In 2012 LIVE2Succeed was honored with the national LeadingAge Excellence in the Workplace award.
Hinrichs is a member of the Lincoln (Neb.) Chamber of Commerce board of directors, the Lincoln Fire and Rescue advisory board and the Thrivent Fellows advisory board. In 2012 she was named co-chair of the national LeadingAge Consumer Cabinet. She spends time actively volunteering with Tabitha Meals on Wheels and Junior Achievement in Lincoln.
