Tabitha, your answer for Elder Care, recently celebrated a week of appreciation to honor the organization’s employees and volunteers who, together, make possible Tabitha’s non-profit, for-purpose, Christian mission of service across 28 southeast Nebraska counties.

HiMark Golf Course in Lincoln played host to the festivities—first, a celebratory breakfast on April 14 to recognize and thank Tabitha’s volunteer force of hundreds who serve Elders in myriad ways including companionship, clerical and hospitality roles, and more, across the organization’s living communities, home care and hospice programs.

Two days later on April 16, employees came together at HiMark for an evening of gratitude and fun, where Tabitha recognized numerous corporate award winners as well as employees who had completed milestone years of service in 2014.

In all, Tabitha employees and volunteers represent more than 2,600 individuals committed to upholding the organization’s mission of enhancing the dignity, independence and well-being of older adults in southeast Nebraska.

"There is no way to adequately express the irreplaceable contribution our employees and volunteers make to Tabitha each and every day," said Christie Hinrichs, Tabitha president and CEO. "Their collective character represents a deeply unique kind of servanthood, and I am proud to work alongside each and every one of them."

The employee celebration event featured an original Tabitha music video set to the tune of Bruno Mars’ hit song, Uptown Funk. Tabitha employees from across the organization’s service area appeared in candid cameos breaking it down and loving their jobs. The video is available for viewing on the organization’s YouTube channel (Tabitha Health Care Services).
