Snow cones, food, games and a whole lot of fun. Tabitha’s fifth annual Green House® carnival, held this September, welcomed hundreds to Tabitha’s Green House neighborhood to celebrate Grandparents Day with games, food and entertainment.

Coordinated by Green House staff and supported by the help of volunteers from across Tabitha’s complete continuum of care, guests of all ages gathered to play and celebrate “five and ten”—marking five years of carnival celebrations and 10 years of innovative, residential-style skilled nursing and long-term care living.

Tabitha’s Witherbee neighbors, Tabitha team members, families and residents of Tabitha Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, GracePointe Assisted Living & Memory Care Suites, Journey House SNF for End-of-Life Care and Tabitha Village Independent Living Apartments joined the Green House residents in celebration and fun.

Tabitha’s four Green House homes, along with other residential-style projects across Tabitha’s service area, depart from traditional long-term care and exist to provide a de-institutionalized option that accommodates the unique lifestyle preferences of every resident. Elders in these innovative communities enjoy life on their own terms while receiving compassionate skilled nursing care.

These residential-style homes offer a unique living community environment that supports Tabitha’s mission by promoting the individuality and dignity of Elders no longer able to stay in their own homes.
