When my mom, Lillian, started having difficulties remembering things and getting around, I was left with questions, unsure of what to do. I didn’t want my mom to be aging—I had always been the one she cared for, not the other way around. Mom didn’t need the support of a living community or nursing home, but she needed someone to be with her during the day when I couldn’t.

“Tabitha’s Adult Day Program was a perfect fit. I can’t say enough good things about the service and the joy it brings Mom. I bring her there before work and pick her up when I go home. The caregivers at Tabitha have a variety of activities like exercises, card games and crafts to fill her day, and they even provide a nutritionally balanced noon meal. At Adult Day, she can socialize and is able to stay active, things she can’t do alone at home, even when I am there.

“Mom’s care team is wonderful. They specialize in helping older adults and can manage memory challenges, difficulties in mobility and even taking medications. The cost is affordable and allows me to go to work without worrying if Mom is going to be okay.

“When I was young, Mom always took care of me. Now, it’s my turn to care for her.”
