Tabitha, your answer for Elder Care, is pleased to announce several news and update items from its campus in Crete.

Last fall Tabitha debuted plans for two new residential-style communities to eventually replace Tabitha of Crete, the organization’s Saline County-based skilled nursing and long-term care community. The innovative new communities will offer a departure from the traditional nursing home model, giving Elders and their families a lifestyle of choice in an environment like home.

A recently-modified construction timeline for the two new buildings includes a June groundbreaking, with resident move-in scheduled for Q2, 2016.

“As always, our Elders remain top priority as we prepare to bring residential-style living to Saline County,” said Christie Hinrichs, president and CEO. “This new schedule will help ensure a seamless and comfortable transition for residents moving from Tabitha of Crete to the new houses, during a time of year when Nebraska’s unpredictable weather will be more stable.”

In the meantime, Tabitha continues to provide its excellent standard of care at Tabitha of Crete—most recently recognized by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services as a zero-deficiency community, along with a five-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid.

As a nonprofit organization serving 28 Nebraska counties, Tabitha’s love embraces a society where everyone is valued and empowered to live life to the fullest, with compassionate at-home support, innovative living communities, exceptional rehabilitation, health care and hospice services.
