Constructed in 1890, Tabitha’s “Old Main” was built as a residence for orphaned children, homeless adults and the elderly.
Tabitha pioneered de-institutionalized Elder Care in Nebraska and in 2011 opened Journey House SNF for End-of-Life Care as an extension of our residential model to serve those on life’s final journey.
Tabitha Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lincoln, the organization’s most recognizable structure, has grown and evolved over the years to meet the changing health care needs of seniors.
Since its founding in 1886, Tabitha has been committed to listening to the needs of the communities where we serve, and responding with health care options to meet them.
Leaving my home of 40 years, at first I wasn’t sure about the move. But almost immediately, it became my home here…like a second family.
There’s so much to do; I never imagined a senior care community would have so many opportunities for creative expression.
