Tabitha Health Care Services—serving Saline County since 1974—is proud to announce the addition of Garden Square Assisted Living of Crete, located at 1405 Hickory Avenue, to its continuum of health care services.
Built in 1996 to offer Saline County residents another option in senior living, Garden Square employs 30 staff to support services ranging from medication administration to full assistance with transfers, baths and hourly checks throughout the night. While under Ridgeline Management Company of Eugene, Oregon, a new addition was built three years ago, adding more deluxe resident rooms and enlarged common areas.
“Our former management company took great pride in Garden Square and made a very thoughtful choice in selling to Tabitha in January 2010,” said Cindy Wanek, Administrator of Garden Square since September of 2009. “With a distant management company we had to be more self-sufficient. Now, with local resources right here in the Tabitha family we can do an even better job of serving our families and staff. I’m so proud of our devoted staff, our enthusiastic residents and the great reputation Garden Square has always had. I couldn’t be more pleased to be working for Tabitha—known for Christian integrity and sound business practices as long as I can remember. In our first month together I already see so much good coming from this partnership.”
Garden Square’s 48 private rooms offer studios and suites to fit any budget and lifestyle. Respite stays are another option for those caring for a loved one and needing short-term placement for a few days or weeks. Garden Square also provides a supportive setting for hospice care in the event of terminal illness.
“Tabitha has had a long-standing relationship with Saline County and has established a reputation for health care excellence. Since opening, Garden Square employees and residents have made Tabitha home care and hospice their choice,” said Christie Hinrichs, interim CEO & President, Tabitha Health Care Services. “The staff at Garden Square have expressed great delight for being a part of the Tabitha family. In addition, we have collaborated with Garden Square to coordinate home health and hospice needs for residents. We’re thrilled to be able to bring together two successful, mission-based entities under one Tabitha family.”
Tabitha will operate the facility using the name, Garden Square Assisted Living. Tours are available daily. For more information, please visit or call 826-2241.
