Skilled Nursing for Hospice

Support comes in many forms from Tabitha Hospice, now introducing Lincoln's first Medicare-certified skilled nursing hospice living community, opened in the spring of 2011.

Services Available at Tabitha's Journey House SNF for Hospice & Palliative Care

  • Skilled nursing facility care. Registered nurses visit patients and families, and provide care, support and coordination of services such as medications, medical equipment and supplies. Tabitha nurses are specially trained in pain control and symptom management. They are on call around the clock.
  • Counseling services. Spiritual support is available from your clergy, volunteer clergy or the hospice pastor. Social workers, pharmacists and nutritionists are also available.
  • Bereavement services. Our hospice team provides counseling and support to families for 18 months following the death of a loved one. Services include mailings, support groups and individual support.
  • Community outreach. Tabitha works in cooperation with community agencies to offer a one-day grief camp for kids and their families. You can obtain information about HUGS (Helping Us Grieve Successfully) at Hugs Camp.
