Share the moment with Tabitha Intergenerational Center!
Tabitha Intergenerational Center began at Tabitha in 2001. It merges Early Childhood Education with Adult Day Services. The vision has been to create a warm, safe and enchanting community of friends, life-long learning and belonging. Our program helps to prepare children for school and for life by:

  • Developing a love of learning and a sense of discovery.
  • Learning to work and play independently and to develop positive relationships with their peers and adults.
  • Developing problem-solving, consensus-building and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Learning about their world including other cultures.
  • Exploring art, music, dance and drama and recognize the value and beauty the arts can bring into their lives.
  • Learning about their physical abilities, and how to take care of their bodies and establish healthy habits.
  • Growing socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually.

Learning Centers:

  • Circle Time
A time for sharing ideas, songs and stories and to be introduced to new ideas. Children plan their activities for the day.

  • Story Time
A daily activity where children participate in choosing, telling and discussing stories.

  • Art Activities
Activities that involve drawing, modeling, gluing, painting and other arts and crafts.

  • Outdoor Activities
Our safe and soft-surfaced playground includes activities for all ages of children and a variety of activities for lots of outdoor play.

  • Infant Activities
Infants need stimulation as well and our room has various centers to soothe, stimulate and teach our youngest members.
