Tabitha Grief Groups, Caregiver Support Groups and Hospice Volunteer Training - November 2018

Tabitha, Nebraska’s industry-leading Senior Care provider, offers grief groups and hospice volunteer training throughout the month of September in Lincoln, York, Nebraska City, and Grand Island, NE.

MAIN REGION (LINCOLN, NE AND LANCASTER COUNTY)

Grief and support groups are open to anyone in the community experiencing loss or needing support and helpful caregiver tips.

  • “Loss of a Loved One Drop-in Grief Group,” held every Monday, 10-11:30 a.m., and every Wednesday, 1:30-3 p.m., at The Harbor Coffeehouse, 1265 S. Cotner Blvd. Call 402.486.8577 for confirmation of dates.
  • “Men’s Drop-in Grief Group,” held every other Friday, November 9 and 23, 1:30-3 p.m., at Hy-Vee deli, 7151 Stacy Ln. Call 402.486.8577 for confirmation of dates.
  • Caregiver Drop-in Support Group,” held every third Wednesday of the month, 5-6:30 p.m., at Tabitha The Club—Adult Day Services, 4600 Valley Rd. Care for loved one provided at no charge. Meals are available for $5.
  • Growing Through Grief Six-Week Support Group” held Wednesday mornings, 10-11:30 a.m., Nov. 7 – Dec. 12, Tabitha, 4720 Randolph St., Lincoln. To register, please contact 402.486.8577.

Tabitha also invites you to join the Tabitha Hospice team for a special remembrance service to celebrate the life of your loved one and share in the support of our community. The service will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 6 p.m., at Tabitha Chapel, 4720 Randolph St., Lincoln. To register, please contact 402.486.8577.

Tabitha also offers individual hospice volunteer training throughout Lancaster County. Hospice volunteering is a rewarding opportunity that provides companionship, pet therapy, bereavement support, respite care, light housekeeping, office and clerical support while providing comfort and joy to Tabitha clients. A six-week grief support group, “Growing Through Grief” will be held Thursday afternoons, Nov. 29 - Jan. 3, 1-2:30 p.m., at Tabitha, 1114 Grundman Blvd., Nebraska City.
