Tabitha in Crete Team

Tabitha Residences in Crete are designed with dignity, where older adults flourish by directing their own lifestyle and are supported by a team of health care experts.

Tabitha in Crete Receives Recognition for Quality

Tabitha Residences—Douglas and Residence 2, located in Crete, Neb., have received the American Health Care Association (AHCA) Bronze Award—Commitment to Quality distinction.

This distinction is related specifically to the living communities’ skilled nursing and long-term care services. A team of Tabitha nursing professionals work alongside residents and their physicians and families to provide individualized care so residents live comfortably.

“The Bronze Quality Award is the result of hard work by a very dedicated and compassionate team of individuals,” stated Sherri Due, Tabitha in Crete administrator. “I am both proud of and grateful for these exceptional communities to receive this recognition. Our team prides itself in having the latest training and skills necessary to continuously meet and exceed the expectations of residents and their families by providing expert, quality care.”

Tabitha Residences offer a warm, family-centered, residential-style environment. Older adults flourish in private suites where they can direct their own lifestyle including meal times, social activities and family gatherings. These residential communities located in a rural setting have proven to result in better clinical outcomes, reduced hospitalizations and unprecedented client satisfaction and comfort. In addition to the two in Crete, four Tabitha Residences are located at Tabitha’s main campus in the heart of Lincoln, and three others are located in the Williamsburg neighborhood in south Lincoln. All hold the Bronze Award.

The AHCA National Quality Award Program is a stringent and progressive three-step process that encourages the continuous learning, development and execution of integrated quality systems to achieve performance excellence. Each step requires a more detailed and comprehensive demonstration of quality integration and performance. The criteria for each step is based on the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program.
