Tabitha Living Communities Receive Recognition for Quality
Tabitha Nursing and Rehabilitation Center (TNRC), Tabitha Residences Good, Martin, Elizabeth and Martha Houses and Journey House Skilled Nursing Facility for End-of-Life Care, all located on Tabitha’s main campus in the heart of Lincoln, Neb., have received the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living’s (AHCA/NCAL) Bronze Award—Commitment to Quality distinction.
This distinction is related specifically to the living communities' skilled nursing and long-term care services. A team of Tabitha nursing professionals work alongside residents and their physicians and families to provide individualized, expert care so residents live comfortably and manage pain and symptoms associated with chronic illness or disability. TNRC has been named among the “Best Skilled Nursing Homes in Nebraska” by U.S. News & World Report and consistently receives high ratings from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, along with excellent client satisfaction scores. In addition to long-term care, TNRC also offers short-stay rehabilitation care.
“The Bronze Quality Award is the result of hard work by a very dedicated and compassionate team of individuals,” stated Tonya Richards, Tabitha Nursing and Rehabilitation Center administrator. “Our team strives to obtain the training and skills necessary to continuously meet and exceed the expectations of residents and their families by providing exceptional, quality care.”
Tabitha Residences, Good, Martin, Elizabeth and Martha Houses, offer a residential-style environment complemented by Tabitha’s award-winning skilled nursing and long-term care. Older adults flourish in private suites where they can direct their own lifestyle including meal times and family gatherings. These revolutionary residential communities have proven to result in better clinical outcomes, reduced hospitalizations and unprecedented client satisfaction and comfort. Three other Tabitha Residences are located at Tabitha’s Williamsburg campus in south Lincoln and two in the unique rural setting of Crete, Neb.
The AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program is a stringent and progressive three-step process that encourages the continuous learning, development and execution of integrated quality systems to achieve performance excellence. Each step requires a more detailed and comprehensive demonstration of quality integration and performance. The criteria for each step is based on the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program.
