Lillian’s Story

When Lillian began having difficulties remembering things and getting around, her daughter Karen had many questions, and was afraid and unsure of where to turn. She was uncomfortable with her mother aging, since it was her mom who had always taken care of her. But now the tables were turned. Lillian didn’t need the support of a living community or nursing home, but she did need someone to be with her during the day when Karen couldn’t.

Tabitha The Club was a perfect fit. Today, Karen can’t say enough good things about the service and the joy it brings her mom. She brings Lillian before work and picks her up when she goes home. Tabitha caregivers coordinate a variety of activities like exercises, card games and crafts to fill Lillian’s day, and she enjoys a nutritionally balanced meal for lunch. At The Club, Lillian can socialize while her daughter is at work, staying engaged in life and active—things she can’t do alone at home—and Karen is very grateful.
