Thirty-six teams took to NuMark Golf Course for the 22nd Annual Gateway Sertoma Golf Tournament—hosted by nonprofit Tabitha and Gateway Sertoma Club of Lincoln—to show support for Tabitha Meals on Wheels, a local, leading meal delivery service for capital city Seniors in need.
The event kicked off with a putting contest, closely followed by remarks from Brian Shanks, Tabitha President & CEO, and finally, a shotgun start to officially begin the 18-hole round of golf and generosity.

This year’s event raised over $76,000, equivalent to 10,133 meals. The entirety will supplement rising food costs and cover the price of meals for 81% of Tabitha Meals on Wheels recipients who are unable to afford the full cost of their weekday lunches, yet rely on the program to remain safe and independent in their homes.
Since 1967, Tabitha Meals on Wheels has provided a nutritious meal, a wellness check and a friendly visit from one of thousands of dedicated Tabitha Volunteers.
In 2024, Tabitha Meals on Wheels faces a $700,000 yearly deficit, but thanks to the support of community contributions and Tabitha fundraising events like the Gateway Sertoma Tournament, the program is able to continue providing for older neighbors.

The Gateway Sertoma Golf Tournament has been an annual occurrence since the very first scramble in 2002. In its 22 years of existence, the event has raised over $828,000 in support of Tabitha Meals on Wheels.
Thirty-six teams golfed in support of Tabitha Meals on Wheels in 2024. Their generosity funded the equivalent of 10,000 meals for Lincoln Seniors.

The Gateway Sertoma Club of Lincoln Celebrated 60 years of philanthropy in 2021, and over the course of those years, its members have contributed over $1.5 million to local organizations. The Collaboration with Tabitha was born out of a mutual love for community building, supporting seniors and—of course—golf.
