Tabitha Elder Care Services recently introduced yet another new space on its rapidly evolving Lincoln campus. LifeQuest Rehabilitation Center was the site of an unveiling for Tabitha’s latest remodel, featuring modern renovations to a new nursing unit and a brand-new exercise gym for post-acute rehabilitation patients and Tabitha employees.
Dubbed “Club 4” for its location on LifeQuest’s fourth floor, the gym operates seven days per week with an expanded, three-team therapy staff, accommodating an even greater level of customized programs to fit the unique needs of each patient. With state-of-the-art balance, low impact and traditional workout equipment, along with the expertise of Tabitha’s occupational, physical and speech therapists, the gym offers patients an industry-leading approach to rehabilitation – all in a bright, open space complete with a walking track that encircles the expanse of the gym. Two remodeled nursing wings on the same floor include 18 private rooms with contemporary furnishings, flat-screen televisions and attached, private bathrooms.
“This project was designed with the demands of today’s and tomorrow’s Elders in mind,” said Christie Hinrichs, Tabitha president and CEO. “Elders who choose Tabitha for their short-term rehabilitation will receive the same loving care they have come to expect from us, and now the surroundings will feel more like home as they enjoy the comfort of private rooms, glorious windows filled with sunshine and the encouragement and skill of our expert rehabilitation staff.”
In addition to aiding patient recovery, Club 4 is open to Tabitha employees – 24 hours per day, seven days per week – and has already proven popular for lunchtime and after-hours workouts. Tabitha team members can take advantage of elliptical machines, treadmills, recumbent bicycles, free weights and more, all in an open, sunny space with mirrored walls and mounted, large-screen televisions for entertainment while exercising.
“We are so excited about the opportunity to provide rehabilitation services to even more Elders in this beautiful facility,” said Samantha Hoffman, Tabitha’s director of rehabilitation services. “The windows all around bring in so much light, which is energizing and uplifting. We also look forward to encouraging and improving the health and wellness of our employees through their use of Club 4.”
