Tabitha Meals on Wheels is Celebrating its annual March for Meals campaign by raising awareness and funds to support hundreds of older neighbors within Lincoln city limits.
Founded in 1967 as the first program of its kind in Lincoln, Tabitha Meals on Wheels has since served over five million meals (and counting).
This critical resource relies upon generous gifts, community support and the dedication of hundreds of Volunteer drivers that deliver weekday meals, a well-being check and a friendly interaction—sometimes the only face-to-face conversation a Client may have that day, week or month.
In 2024, Tabitha needs to raise almost $700,000 in order to continue to cover the $7.50 meal delivery cost for 80% of recipients who cannot afford it.
