Tabitha Promotes Shanks to President & CEO

Tabitha, Nebraska’s industry-leading Senior Care provider has tapped a new leader.

Tabitha’s Board of Directors selected Lincoln native, Brian P. Shanks to fill the role of President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

For the past four years, Shanks has served as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of nonprofit Tabitha. He will succeed Tabitha’s Interim President and CEO, Joyce Ebmeier on Jan. 1, 2024 as she retires.

Shanks brings over 30 years of extensive experience in finance, including the areas of real estate and investments. He has established strong standardized policies, procedures, data metrics and reporting.

Most recently, Shanks played a major role in the construction and implementation of two major living communities—Tabitha at Prairie Commons in Grand Island and S²age InterGenerational Living in Lincoln—as well as the implementation of a hospice and home health care joint venture with Immanuel in Omaha and overall guiding Tabitha through the challenging COVID-19 pandemic.

Aimee Baumann, who has served as Tabitha’s Director of Finance will succeed Shanks as Tabitha’s Interim CFO. Baumann will join Shanks and Katie Lechner, Chief Operating Officer, on the Executive Team.
